FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Cambridge, Ontario – June 7, 2002
On Friday June 7, 2002
Cambridge Tourism presented Donna Hammersley, Manager and
Server from The Black Badger Restaurant, located at 55 Water
St. North, Cambridge, with the May Hospitality Hero Award.
“Always cheery”, “Quick & pleasant”, “Prompt, friendly &
courteous”, “Never forgets a face”, are just a few of the
phrases that have been used to describe Donna. It is because
of these outstanding qualities that Donna has been nominated
many times by visitors and local residents and receives the
May Hospitality Hero Award.
Donna has been an employee of the Black Badger for five years.
“It is obvious that she loves her job…and I don’t think she
has missed a day of work since she started”, raves fellow
Manager and employee Chad Donaldson. Mr. Donaldson also let it
be known that the Waterloo British Car Club, who have been
coming to the Black Badger on the second Tuesday of every
month for over two years, always request her section. The
Club, who arrive en mass in a group of up to 50 people, occupy
almost half the restaurant and always want to see Donna’s
smiling face. Congratulations Donna on a job well done!
