Service with a Smile for Over 21 Years

Cambridge, Ontario – May 8, 2002
On Wednesday May 8, 2002 Cambridge Tourism presented Nelson Andrade waiter from Graystones Restaurant with the April Hospitality Hero Award.

Mr. Andrade has been an employee of Graystones Restaurant for over 21 years. He was one of the first employees hired after the restaurant opened in 1980 and has been a valued employee ever since. Nelson and Graystones have received a number of nominations since the Hospitality Hero Program was launched in October 2001. The nominations consistently praise to the superb service, friendly & courteous nature and professionalism of Mr. Andrade. It is the most recent nomination by local area resident and long-time customer of Graystones that shows how Nelson stands above the rest. Mrs. Weiler of Kitchener, a customer since the restaurant opened said, “Nelson is not only nice and polite but he is obviously happy in his job, something that you don’t see every day. Thank you for making every experience I have at Graystones so enjoyable.”

Carlo Berrini, co-owner and maitred’ of Graystones Restaurant said, “Nelson is a very good and dedicated waiter. We have customers who specifically ask to be in Nelson’s section and it is a pleasure to know that people not only come back to Graystones for the food, but also for the personal service that Nelson extends to our guests”. Congratulations Nelson!

The Hospitality Hero Awards Program, launched in October 2001, was designed to recognize individual achievement in providing outstanding customer service and hospitality to visitors to Cambridge & the surrounding area. Awards are presented based on nominations received from visitors and local area residents.
