February 2007 - Cambridge Tourism once again recognized for marketing excellence
The Ontario Economic Development Awards were held last week at the Toronto Marriott Eaton Centre Hotel. Cambridge Tourism took top honours in the category of “Publications – Visitors Guide” for their 2006 Discover Cambridge Guide. The ceremony recognizes excellence in marketing and product development and allows local communities to see how their work compares to that of other municipalities across the province in promoting location, investment & tourism opportunities. This year, more than 190 entries were submitted.

Cambridge Tourism and the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce were very proud to have recently received honors from the Economic Developers Association of Canada. EDAC is Canada’s national organization of economic development professionals, representing every province across Canada with 700+ members.
December 2005 - Always Time for Customer Service
When technician Chris Bowman was called into the service bay along with the rest of the staff at Bennett
Chevrolet Cadillac in Cambridge, all he knew was that an important announcement was to be made.
What he didn’t realize, however, was that the occasion was all about him. To the cheers and applause of
his co-workers, Chris was presented with Cambridge Tourism’s monthly Hospitality Hero Award.

Is Child’s Play
As a place that promotes learning through play, the Waterloo Regional Children’s Museum relies on enthusiastic and fun-loving staff to help bring their interactive art and technology exhibits to life. For museum interpreters like Angela Olano, working with children and fostering a sense of discovery in all of the museum’s visitors is a reward in itself.
September 2005 - Putting the “Care” in Hair Care
Pauline Silva was recently presented with Cambridge Tourism’s monthly Hospitality Hero Award for the exceptional customer service and patience that she exhibited to one of her young clients at First Choice Haircutters. Though normally traumatized by getting his hair cut, the young lad responded with a smile when Pauline did the job.

times, requiring attention to detail, a great memory, a gracious
nature and lots of energy. For server Jennifer Sukhaseum of the
Holiday Inn Cambridge, none of this has ever been a hardship.

Marg and Norm Warren specialize in providing a number of
amenities and services at their Bed and Breakfast, not the
least of which is good old-fashioned comfort.
June 2005 - Pleasing visitors always a pleasure
Rachel Whistance of Wings of Paradise loves her job,
something that is apparent to all of the visitors that she meets
at the butterfly conservatory. She recently received a
Hospitality Hero Award from Cambridge Tourism in recognition of
this commitment to making visitors feel taken care of.

received a Hospitality Hero Award for the persistence and goodwill that he
demonstrated in locating and returning a lost item to a hotel guest.
