Safety Rules
Because Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada is an active manufacturing facility, the safety of all those who enter the plant is the first priority. These mandatory regulations are in place for your protection and to ensure that you enjoy a pleasant experience.

The following regulations apply to all groups:
Along the tour, the guided, motorized trams will enter the Weld shop, where occasional welding sparks are present. While these sparks are not harmful, some fabrics are more easily flammable. Therefore:

Only natural fibres should be worn in the plant (wool, cotton, silk, linen etc.) * No Polyesters, Rayons, Acrylics or other Synthetic fibres (micro fibres etc.).
No shorts, skirts, tear-away pants, nylon pants or tops.
No ball caps or hats.
* Cotton smocks will be provided for those who require one.

No purses, bags, knapsacks
No cameras.
No cell phones, pagers or communication devices.
*These items will be stored under lock & key in the Visitor Centre.

No food or drinks allowed on the tram
Safety glasses must be worn at all times
Audio-headsets are provided for each guest

Getting to the Plant
Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada is located in Cambridge, Ontario at the intersection of Hwy 401 and Hwy 8, about one hour west of Toronto and one hour east of London.
The Visitors' Centre is accessed by Gate 2 only. Visitors should follow signs for Gate 2.

Those arriving by car should enter Gate 2, and park in Visitor Parking. After parking the vehicle, visitors should proceed to the Gate 2 Guard House, and identify themselves. Security will clear you on the list (which you provided 24 hours in advance) and direct you to the Visitors' Centre.

Buses should proceed directly to the Guard House, where a Visitors' Centre tour guide will be awaiting you, to board the bus and confirm your group.

Tour Schedule
Tour times have been established around production times. As production is the primary focus of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, at times, unanticipated production needs may necessitate the cancellation of a tour. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada requests that all groups booking tours understand and accept the possibility of tour cancellation. Groups are encouraged to call one day prior to their tour to confirm their booking. Tours operate Monday through Thursday. Tourism Counsellors are available to answer your inquiries and book your tour 7 days a week. Please note that there are Plant Shut Down dates in July and December.
